To date, over 1,000 care home workers have accessed our learning and development sessions. This helps to build the capability of the care home workforce within the Integrated Care Systems of which we are a crucial part. Our training gets excellent feedback from participants – 99% of attendees said they would recommend the training to others working in their care or nursing home.
Accessible training for the whole team
We offer training sessions tailored to care home staff at all levels. Training is delivered remotely, meaning staff can join easily from their usual place of work. We also provide staff with a certificate of attendance following training sessions, which they can use to demonstrate their commitment to continued professional development.
Our
training sessions are delivered monthly by our highly experienced NHS clinical
team. They are focused on the clinical conditions care home residents are most
likely to experience. This includes:
Falls prevention training
Catheter care training
Dementia care
Diabetes care training
Verification of death training
Medication safety management
RESTORE2 and 'what are soft signs' training
We also provide training on wound care, including for leg and foot ulcers, common infections including UTIs, and musculoskeletal (MSK) assessments, including top-to-toe assessments.
